because everyone needs a bit of beach

I remember growing up and thinking that all the things my mother ever told me was true. Stuff like: 'don't talk while your mouth is full,' 'if you don't always wear a bra, your boobs will sag,' 'don't make faces because it just might freeze and stay that way forever' or 'there's someone out there who will love you for who you are.'
Now that I'm (eurgh...) twenty-two years old, I find that (to my utter dismay) my mother was right about a few things. But I also realised that I'm so much more than what I've always been told. That's the beauty of life, I think. I'm always growing up, but in some ways, I'm still that girl waiting to see if what everyone says is really true.
So this is me. Alessi. Twenty-two (I really want to be able to say twenty-something but that would be an exercise in pointlessness). Almost graduating from Business Administration (just barely. You know--if I don't decide to go "search for myself" again and wind up selling alcohol at nine in the morning). A Filipina that has yet to learn how to get rid of the American accent (because apparently people can spot me a mile away). A writer that has yet to finish that one story with too many underdeveloped characters, overdeveloped plots, plus cigarettes and coffee (because we must all live vicariously through these fictional characters).
Underweight. Underheight. Underestimated. Overjoyed.

I have to warn anyone who's reading this right now that should you not want your sensibilities offended, you must turn away now and never come back. I don't have any valid reasons as to why you should actually do that, but trust me, reading me whinge about my life, my friends and my abhorrent bowel movements is not fun.
Okay then. Friending Policy? Right-o.
FRIENDING POLICY: Don't have one. If you do decide to add me to your flist (I swear to God I warned you!), then do drop me a note. Thanks :]
Okay, I've decided that I should have a friending policy. But only because I probably won't (if the event presents itself, that is) add people who add me. Yeah, evil, I know. Probably earned myself a cellblock beside Hitler's in the depths of hell. But that's life. I'd type the French version of that saying if I actually knew French. I know Spanish and Filipino. I'll stick to Filipino. Yan ang buhay, d00d. If I likes yah, I'll adds yah back. *bow*
